We are committed to becoming an independent, lively and joyous, caring church that undertakes the Great Commission with one heart!

Our vision

Become a bridge between God and men with GLAD-ness.

Sing the glory of His name in worship! Accept one another and our lives will be filled with the fruit of righteousness through Jesus Christ, in order to give glory and praise to God! (Refer to Psalm 66:2; Romans 15:7; Philippians 1:11)

Obey God’s guidance, have the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, and use all wisdom to admonish and teach everyone, so that present everyone fully mature in Christ. (Refer to 2 Thess. 3:5; Romans 15:5; Col. 1:28)

Connect to the head of the church, Jesus Christ, with different churches, institutions, and brothers and sisters, to strive together as one for the faith of the gospel. Be humble, gentle, and patient in all things, in a harmonious relationship, and strive to preserve the unity given by the Holy Spirit. (Refer to Eph 4:2-3, 15; Philippians 1:27)

All Scripture is inspired by God. Through baptising and teaching, we go and make disciples, with watching ourselves and our teachings. (Refer to Matthew 28:19-20; First Tim 4:16; Second Tim 3:16)

We believe in the truth that God reveals to us through the Bible.

Core Values

Love is the principle of our actions, which includes four dimensions: Revering God, Loving others, Loving oneself, Cherishing things; and four extended meanings, including: Liberty, Optimism, and Vitality and Evangelism.

Church History

In September 1968, a group of overseas students from Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong started a Bible study group with some overseas Chinese in Edinburgh, which was later established as the “Edinburgh Christian Fellowship”, which was based on students and overseas Chinese to expand the gospel. And later established a Cantonese worship service in 1982.

On 23 June 1991, “Edinburgh Chinese Church” was formally established. In 1996, it was renamed as “Edinburgh Chinese Christian Church”.
